Seminars
In-person seminars are valuable sessions where you can learn about the Plan and how to make the most of your pension benefits. Seminars run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
Our seminars have changed – what you need to know
Our previous two-day sessions have been redesigned and are now one-day sessions that are tailored to different career stages.
- You can choose either the Early Career or Late Career session, based on your eligibility (see below).
- You may attend each session one time during your membership. In other words, if you previously attended an Early Career or Late Career session, you would not qualify to attend that same session again.
Early Career Seminar
Need a pension check-in? Join us for a refresher on how your pension is working for you.
Eligibility to Attend
Open to active members of TTC Pension Plan who:
- Have at least one (1) year of continuous service
- Have not previously attended this Early Career seminar or the former two-day seminar
Late Career Seminar
Having a solid retirement plan is important. If you’re getting ready to retire, attend this seminar to learn more about your options, considerations, and the retirement process.
Eligibility to Attend
Open to active members of TTC Pension Plan who:
- Are 45+ years of age at time of seminar
- Have not previously attended this Late Career seminar or the former two-day seminar
How to register for a seminar
Our registration process has changed. Please read carefully.
- Confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements for the session.
- You should notify your work location of your seminar date.
- Click Register Now. You’ll be taken to the signup page where you will complete your information and confirm the date.
- We’ll send you a confirmation as well as reminders about your session closer to the date. Don’t forget to mark it in your calendar.
Note: Attendance is paid only if you attend on a regularly scheduled work day.

FAQ
We have changed the way we present our seminars so that they are more beneficial to members at different stages in their career. Our seminars have been redesigned to provide the right information at the right time in your membership, whether you’re early or later in your career.
The Early Career seminar is open to active members of TTC Pension Plan who:
- Have at least one (1) year of continuous service
- Have not previously attended this Early Career seminar or the former two-day seminar
The Late Career seminar is open to active members of TTC Pension Plan who:
- Are 45+ years of age at time of seminar
- Have not previously attended this Late Career seminar or the former two-day seminar
You are eligible to attend each seminar one time during your membership in TTC Pension Plan.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your registration you must notify TTCPP prior to the seminar date. Reach out at membercare@ttcpp.ca. Be sure to also notify your work location.
You are eligible to attend one session of each seminar within your lifetime. If you have previously attended an Early Career seminar, you can still attend a Late Career seminar, provided you are 45+ years of age at the time of the seminar. You cannot attend the same session twice.
